Correspondence, reports, and memoranda related to the North Carolina community college system, the Institute of Adult Extension Education, training programs for teachers of adults, North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service work, and 4-H activities. Most of the material dates from the 1970s to early 1980s. The Department of Adult Education at NCSU was created during the mid-1960s. In 1970 the name changed to the Department of Adult and Community College Education. In 2006 the department became Adult and Higher Education.
